Better Together Animal Alliance’s community pet food bank is out of dry cat food. The nonprofit is asking for urgent community support to help families and pets in need. Any brand of dry cat food can be donated to the organization’s animal care center or to donation bins at Yokes, North40, or Super 1 in Sandpoint.

“This is a vital service we provide to our community and have traditionally relied on donations to help keep it going,” said Mandy Evans, BTAA executive director. “Our pet food bank helps people feed their pets during difficult times, so they don't need to surrender them. We want to ensure people and pets stay together. Being completely out of cat food to provide to our community puts community cats at great risk.”

In 2021 BTAA supplied over 100,000 pounds of pet food to the community, and the need continues to grow as people face housing, health, gas, inflation, and supply challenges.

If you are able to contribute to BTAA’s pet food bank, you can bring donations to their animal care center at 870 Kootenai Cutoff Rd. in Ponderay, Idaho, or you can visit bettertogetheranimalalliance.org to view their wishlist and order online.
